Questions
What counts as a read or a write request?+
A write request is a Cypher statement that changed data; a read request is any other statement. They count the same over HTTPS, Bolt, MCP and the console's query editor, and requests refused by a limit are never counted.
How is storage billed?+
The organization's stored data, sampled every hour and billed per GB-month (730 hours). It includes backups and point-in-time restore history, not the temporary copies made for exports or maintenance. The allowance is the plan's included GB for the whole month.
What does the spend cap do?+
It is on by default on every plan. With it on, usage past an allowance is never billed: when storage or write requests reach 100% writes are paused, and when read requests do, reads are paused, until the next period or an upgrade. Turn it off on Pro or Scale to keep serving and pay the overage rates above. Free is always capped.
What happens to an idle Free organization?+
After 7 days without activity (no queries, no API key use and no one signing in to the console) it is paused, with an email a day before. Its data is kept, and an owner or admin resumes it from the console in one click. A Free organization paused for more than 90 days may be deleted after 30 days' notice. Paid plans never pause.
Do I need a credit card to start?+
Not for Free. Choosing Pro or Scale here only preselects it: after you create your organization you start it through checkout, and nothing is charged until you complete it.
Can I change plans later?+
Any time. Upgrades apply right away and are prorated for the rest of the period; downgrades take effect at the end of the period. Nothing is deleted: databases past a lower plan's limit become read-only.
What does the SLA cover?+
Pro and Scale include a 99.9% monthly uptime commitment for the database endpoints (HTTPS, Bolt and MCP), with service credits when we miss it. The details are in the Service Level Agreement.
Can I pay yearly?+
Yes. Pro and Scale can be billed once a year for 10 months of the base price; usage past the allowance is still metered and billed monthly.
How fast does support answer?+
Pro: first response within 1 business day. Scale: priority support: 4 business hours for urgent issues. Free gets best-effort help. Targets are first responses in business hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00 (UTC−5)), not resolution times; the SLA covers uptime.
Are taxes included?+
Prices are in USD and exclude taxes, which are added where we are required to collect them. Invoices and receipts come from Stripe, our payment processor.
We need more than Scale, or custom terms.+
